Box Baseball is full, rich user-friendly web features.The Box Baseball website offers you full access to manage your team lineup and settings using easy-to-understand dropdown menus. Make payments online using your credit card. Leave messages for league members in our forum. Sign in and see your Box Baseball homepage with information specifically for you.
Box Baseball is daily results. For the first time ever, a predictive simulation fantasy baseball game now offers the excitement of getting daily results! No more waiting 7 days for results. Make changes on a daily basis and see the results the next day.
Box Baseball is unlimited daily transactions. Baseball doesn’t have waiver drafts in real life, so why should you have to wait a month or two to pick up new players? Box allows you to make transactions as many times as you want, when your team needs it (for free of course).
Box Baseball is true statistical validity. Box Baseball takes the raw statistics from the previous day to determine a potential outcome based on randomly generated results. Our internal tests of up to 1,000,000 scenarios have confirmed the statistical validity of the Box Sim Engine.
Box Baseball is pure drafting fun. For many, the draft is the most exciting part of fantasy baseball. Put an end to dragging drafts due to non-responsive owners. The Box Baseball Drafter was created to put the fun back into drafting. A clock signifies how much time remains before the next pick. Notifications and results are “pushed” out via email to managers. Set how much time you want in between picks. Top of Page
Box Baseball vs.Roto:
Comparing Box Baseball against traditional Rotisserie leagues is like comparing…well there simply is no comparison! Box Baseball is head-to-head play against other teams. Whereas Roto leagues use rankings of which teams lead in what statistics to determine standings, in Box Baseball your team will actually play head-to-head games against other teams in your league. A typical week will have 5-6 games, same as in the Majors. Play against divisional rival teams more often than in other divisions. Experience the surprise and excitement of actual matchups. Imagine the anticipation of trotting Johan Santana out from your team to face your enemy’s batting lineup!
|Roto ||Box Baseball |
|Ranking ||Head-to-head play against other teams |
|Categories ||In-Depth Statistics Matching |
|No in-game decisions ||Many in-game managerial settings |
|Limited Strategies ||Team building strategies |
|No ballparks ||Multiple real-world simulated ballparks with effects |
Box Baseball is in-depth statistical validity. Our unique Box Sim Engine takes all the relevant statistics to determine what the game outcomes will be. Who will prevail in a battle of Felix Hernandez versus Albert Pujols? Will your team’s outfield defense be sufficient to hold a potent offense in check? Does your team have enough speed to play aggressively on the basepaths? When will a crucial error come in play? For fantasy players that love statistics, Box Baseball is a buffet of baseball numbers.
Box Baseball is managerial settings. As the manager, you choose how you want to set up your lineup versus lefties and righties. Choose whether or not you want to be aggressive on the basepaths or play station to station. Select which hitters you want to pitch around, and in what situations. Give hitters the green light to steal. With Box Baseball, the possibilities are endless! Or if you’re more of a hands-off manager, leave settings on league average default.
Box Baseball is team building strategies. Build your team from the ground up based on how you want to win. Will you rely on exceptional pitching and defense? Want to try Billy Beane’s Moneyball approach and use on-base percentage to win? Or will you stack your team with home run hitters? Proven veterans or high potential rookies? It's up to you!
Box Baseball is ballparks. As manager of your Box Baseball, you get to choose what type of ballpark to build your team around. Do you want to a bigger park similar to Petsco or Safeco to emphasize your team’s strengths of pitching and defense? Or do you simply want to outmuscle your opponents with a homer-happy stadium similar to Fenway Park or Yankee Stadium? The ballpark you select will have a real effect on your game outcomes!
Box Baseball is league choices. Some managers love to redraft every year and start with a fresh slate of players. Others love the protection of perpetual leagues, allowing them to build for the future. Why not have them both? With choices from yearly leagues to perpetual leagues, there’s a Box Baseball for every player. Top of Page
Box Baseball vs. Simulation (such as Diamond Mind, Score-It, etc)
|Simulation ||Box Baseball |
|Historical ||Predictive |
The biggest difference between Box and other simulation games such as Diamond Mind and Score-It is the fact that Box Baseball is predictive. The whole fun is in not knowing how players will do in the new season! Will the rookie of the year experience a sophomore slump? Can your ace come back from a season ending injury? How good can you predict and manage your fantasy team? With other simulation games, you use historical results which just isn't quite as fun!
